Do It Online

Did you know you don’t have to wait on the phone to speak to your GP surgery? Just like online banking, you can look at your GP records on a computer, a tablet or a smartphone, using a website or an app.

You can choose to:

Book and cancel appointments with your doctor or nurse online, when it suits you. Your surgery will choose which appointments can be booked online. Some patients have found that they save money and time as they don’t need to make a special trip to their surgery to order repeat prescriptions.

Look at part of your GP records online.

You can look at your records whenever you want, even from the comfort of your home, and find answers to questions you may have without ringing your doctor.

You can already go online and see some of the information in your GP records, including your medications and allergies.

During the next year, you will be able to see even more. This will include illnesses, immunisations and test results. Each GP surgery will make this information available at different times, as their computer systems become ready.

Online services are free to use and are just another way of contacting your surgery. You can still ring them or go to your surgery in person like you do now.

The SystmOnline service has been tested and accredited by a government body called NHS Digital. All personal information used by SystmOnline is secure and protected. It is only available to staff at your practice who have the appropriate security controls, i.e. those managing appointments, repeat prescribing and patient registration.

SystmOne is the clinical system that we use at the Surgery for the following:

Online Appointment

Online appointment enables patients to view, book and cancel appointments at the Surgery remotely. This allows patients to book the most convenient appointment to suit their needs and requirements and provides a seamless patient experience supporting the growing number of patients who are seeking out new ways, often involving technology, to manage their health. The ability to manage appointments online allows patients to choose an appointment at a time that is convenient to them, reducing the number of DNA’s, in turn reducing waste of clinical time for the practice

Online Prescriptions

Online prescription requesting allows patients to directly request their medication, via the internet, from the Surgery. The ability to order or request medication anytime of the day from anywhere in the world gives the patient access to a service that is convenient, efficient and effective as patients can easily choose and order only the items they need. The use of digital online repeat prescription requesting services can lead to reduced travel time for patients, more convenience and higher levels of patient satisfaction.

We are pleased to offer you the facility to use "SystmOne Online" which provides internet services for patients. Under the age of 13 years parental / guardian access is permissible but due to confidentiality, once the patient reaches 13, the password will automatically expire and the child will need to apply for a new password. NB – If you are under 13 and do not wish anyone to have access to your account, please leave a message at reception for the practice manager
